See what's happening there!

Haven't been here for a while... Buisy, buisy, buisy
Now let's recap on what had happened since.
Firstly, I wrote a piece on Google Links vthat might be of some interest for conventional SEO thinkers.
Secondly, but much more importantly, I've got involved in a new project that has a lot to do with Social Graph or User Circle as I prefer calling it. So check my two latest postings Online Communities and Road Ahead manifesto. I'll keep you posted on updates. Thre are at least three more articles on the same subject in the pipeline.

Review of LZZR Linking

After first publishing my LZZR Linking idea several days ago I am starting to gather some feedback. First Sebastian (AKA SebastianX) of Smart It Consulting reacted with LZZR LINKING post and soon a balanced and clever Review of LZZR Linking idea appeared at Anthology of Ideas followed by a heated discussion in which Sebastian, Aaron and of course myself took part. Read it if you wish to get a better idea of LZZR linking strategy.

Should Google give any prior notice before another Google Dance?

Check out this interesting answer on Yedda

Yedda – People. Sharing. Knowledge.Should Google notify specific users before it is doing major changes?

Well, a simple answer would be YES, of course YES and many times YES!!!

It should but it never will for one simple reason - each time waves of Google updates are reaching our shores we tend to react and each Google Dance generates a massive amount of buzz. Roughly four times a year all webmaster forums and blogs are swamped with laments and speculations - Google becomes the sole centre of attention. What more Google can wish for? This massive amount of free PR is too precious to give away.

The only situation I imagine is when Google would be so hard-pressed in its niche that it will simply be forced to be nicer to webmasters and disclose something that is until now a part of its strategical planning. If and when this happens it would only signify to me the beginning of Googles' decline.

Yahoo Censorship Problem

It seems Yahoo has serious problems with censorship issues from grassing up a Chnese dissident to Chinese authorities to blocking feeds from websites that publish content it doesn't like. After revealing Yahoo! hancrafting feed was blocked from Yahoo! Pipes interface!
Good job Yahoo! - internet censorship never stops free information flow!

rel follow is to revolutionize SEO

In a joint move all major search engines decided to change the face of the Web2.0 by introducing a new XFN standard designed to balance the effects of nofollow attribute.
This move was applauded by most in whitehat SEO community while blackhat SEOs could not hide their disappointment with this innovation all because it makes possible to restore the balance to the advantage of content-rich, informative and well-designed sites providing better user experience.

Google allows you to see who links to you

It's an announcement that shook the world :-) Google allows webmasters to perform self autopsy!
Indeed now you can see all your inbound links and internal links as well but only for sites authorised with Google Webmaster Tools. Well, I checked - it shows much less inlinks that I know about. I am smarter than Google LOL
I did somewhat longer post on this in blog.

Writely is a wonderful tool for RSS

Writely allows you not only to publish your docs but also to suck their titles and a couple of phrases as an RSS Feed - this is a bit of a present, isn't it?
